It might not be as famous as London’s Tower Bridge or San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, but the Sixth Street Bridge in Downtown Los Angeles has its fans and they gave it a fond farewell on Tuesday night before it closes for good.
The bridge has been seen in countless movies including Grease and Terminator 2, along with commercials and music videos such as Pharrell’s Happy, but the concrete used to make it is crumbling and it is being pulled down to make way for a new bridge. Hundreds took the chance for a nostalgic walk across the bridge before demolition starts Wednesday.
