Amtrak to begin offering trips to Canada

In a partnership with VIA Rail Canada, Amtrak is beginning to include Canada trips in its Amtrak Vacations program. According to a company spokesperson, the new vacation packages will allow travellers the ability to take journeys on two national rail systems in one simple transaction. The packages offer multiple levels of service and classes of accommodation and cover some of Canada’s most iconic rail journeys – including the Canadian Rockies and a trans-Canada trip. VIA Rail has recently upgraded its Business Class Cars, refurbishing sleeping compartments and updating dining menus. Read more: travelpulse.com
