The Last Frontier has become the latest in a string of states that have legalized possession and use of small amounts of marijuana. The new rules are the result of a voter initiative led by a coalition of Alaska libertarians and pro-pot activists. As of Tuesday, adults aged 21 or older are allowed to grow, use and give away restricted amounts of marijuana. Smoking in public remains illegal. Other US states like Colorado and Washington have passed similar measures in recent years, resulting in an expanding industry of marijuana-related business. Read more: nbcnews.com
