Several airlines with service to Latin America and the Caribbean are offering refunds to passengers who have booked flights to areas affected by the Zika virus.
British Airways is allowing pregnant women to delay bookings to Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Mexico City or Cancun free of charge or choose an alternative destination. American Airlines will offer pregnant passengers a full refund if they provide a doctor’s note stating they are unable to fly to San Salvador (El Salvador), San Pedro Sula and Tegucigalpa in Honduras, Panama City and Guatemala City. United Airlines will offer full refunds or allow any customers who are travelling to the affected regions to rebook their travel for a later date.
