Actress Emma Watson tweeted her support this weekend for a group of Turkish men wearing skirts in Istanbul as a protest against violence against women. The Harry Potter star and U.N. Women Goodwill Ambassador shared “Go Turkish men!” with the hashtag #ozgecanicinminietekgiy (wear a miniskirt for Özgecan) after the men took to the streets of Istanbul to protest at the murder of student Özgecan Aslan, whose death had prompted discussions in Turkey about supposed ‘provocative’ clothing.
