33 killed as Nepal bus slides off mountain road

More than 30 people have died in central Nepal after a public bus veered off a mountain road and crashed into a ravine.

Bus accidents are common in the country, with many caused by overcrowding and reckless driving on Nepal’s steep mountain roads, and local experts say that the overcrowding problem is getting worse because of the fuel crisis, which has led to reduced bus services on many routes.
