A deadly bus crash has claimed the lives of 12 Indian tourists near Dhading, 75km east of Kathmandu. The bus carrying Indian pilgrims plunged into a ravine as it was travelling back to India after visiting the famous Pashupatinath Temple near Kathmandu. Road transport in Nepal has a poor safety record, with a number of fatal bus crashes every year, most attributed to poor vehicle maintenance and dangerous driving on mountain roads.
