Perched on the limestone cliffs of the Bukit Peninsula in Bali, 80 metres above the Indian Ocean, OMNIA day club has been welcoming guests with stunning sea views and a cutting-edge aesthetic since it opened its doors in February 2018. The brainchild of the Hakkasan Group—the brand behind OMNIA Las Vegas and Michelin-starred Hakkasan restaurants—the expansive venue has been designed strictly with adults in mind, hence its 21-year-plus policy.
Standing testament to the creative flare of Singapore-based firm WOHA and the New York–based Rockwell Group, OMNIA Bali’s design makes the most of its jaw-dropping location. The tiered lounge area opens onto a curved infinity pool, VIP cabanas with private plunge pools, and a curved infinity pool with a swim-up bar.
A bridge leads to the main bar that juts out from the cliff’s edge, and is dominated by a large silver cube that is fast becoming the venue’s trademark. The area comes alive each evening when the last rays of sun hit the shimmering installation.
The adjacent mezzanine restaurant Sake no Hana’s slogan, “inspired by nature,” is reflected in both its aesthetic and a la carte menu. The open-air venue features intricate latticework to make the most of the sweeping vistas. The high ceiling and stately wooden bar complete the elegant picture.
Modelled on its London flagship, the restaurant specialises in modern Japanese cuisine with a menu that focuses on charcoal grill, toban and kamameshi dishes. Prepared-to-order sushi and sashimi is also available.
OMNIA Bali is set to commence its roster of events in April, ahead of Bali’s high tourist season.
