Disney has announced a number of exciting new experiences serving destinations around the world for 2019, including picturesque rides from Paris to Normandy, as well as a first ever round-trip cruise from Rome.
Announced by Adventures by Disney, new experiences include sailings down France’s Seine River, while the company will continue to run established trips along the Danube and the Rhine. The new ten-day Seine river cruise will combine two days exploring Paris on land, followed by eight days of cruising to picturesque French destinations such as Conflans-Saint-Honorine and Vernon. Throughout the trip, families will have the chance to take part in interactive culinary experiences, tasting regional delicacies such as cheese and wine, as well as taking part in hands-on macaron making demonstrations. Guided tours of Paris’ iconic Eiffel Tower, the Louvre and Notre Dame are also available, as well as immersive local experiences such as visits to Monet’s house and gardens in Giverny with painting workshops.
“In 2019, we’re thinking bigger, expanding our river cruise offerings to include more departures than ever before. With the addition of new sailings along the Seine River, our guests now have a wealth of new destinations and experiences to enjoy in one of the most beautiful and romantic places in the world, France,” said Ken Potrock, senior vice president of Adventures by Disney.
A brand new round-trip cruise from Rome was also announced, while the four-day short-escape land experience includes access to the famous Colosseum, the Roman Forum, Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel after hours. New land packages were also highlighted that bring guests to Iceland, Germany, Denmark and Spain, while new Southern California land packages will also be available as add-ons to Disney Cruise Line vacations setting sail from San Diego.
